Today the MLB All-Stars were announced and Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz was named as a starter.  He will be joined by Mike Napoli, Prince Fielder, Robinson Cano, Derek Jeter, former Red Sox Adrian Beltre, Curtis Granderson, and Jose Bautista.  Ortiz is having another great season he is batting .305 with 21 home runs and 53 RBI’s, he is also one homer away from 400 for his career.  This is the 8th time Papi has been named to the AL All Star team in his career having been named in 2004,2005,2006,2007,2008,2010 and 2011.  Congratulations to David Ortiz!!!
